Qué es QBOS?

Pues bien: QBOS es Javi Urbaneja. Y es Zulima Torné. QBOS son todos nuestros familiares, amigos y colaboradores. Cada persona que nos hemos encontrado en la vida se ha llevado un pedacito de QBOS consigo. QBOS es un local con escaleras y muchos cuadros en Aranjuez (Madrid, España), pero también te lo puedes encontrar paseando por Berlin, París, Bruselas, Londres, Roma, Nueva York, Tokio, o por cualquier otro lugar del mundo. QBOS es una forma de ser, de pensar y de actuar. A QBOS le gustan las cosas bonitas, los animales, la buena comida, el skate y, por supuesto, le encanta ir decorado. Adora el buen arte, la buena música, la naturaleza y el zumo de naranja recién exprimido. Sabe de filosofía y de la vida. Se divierte con las buenas compañías, así como riendo, pintando, jugando, callejeando y leyendo. Tiene predilección por los lunares y por las líneas rectas. QBOS es un lápiz usado y un libro subrayado. Unas zapatillas desgastadas y unos tacones bien altos. Es un pato, un cuadrado y una silla. QBOS tiene muchos padres y muchas madres, e infinidad de hijos. A QBOS le fascinan las sonrisas y los ojos brillantes; la infancia y la geometría; la vejez y los caballitos de madera.

QBOS respira lenta y profundamente pensando en el próximo cambio de estación, mientras siente llegar la primavera en los primeros brotes, o mientras viaja en un tren de camino a su próxima aventura. Porque QBOS es un trotamundos inquieto con mucha sed de conocimiento. A QBOS le duele el hombro y la espalda, pero nada le detiene. El día es muy corto para él: "Demasiadas cosas que hacer para tan poco tiempo" repite con frecuencia. QBOS le pone pasión a todo lo que hace. Algunas veces es un incomprendido, pero a él no le importa, es feliz siendo como es. Si alguien está de acuerdo con él, se siente agradecido, y si no, también. Prefiere la vida del siglo pasado: mesas camillas con brasero, bicicletas, sombreros y sopa casera. Se renueva a diario, pero nunca pierde de vista el pasado. QBOS es nuestro pasado, nuestro presente y nuestro futuro, y, por supuesto, todos vosotros sois bienvenidos para él! Así que os esperamos en el Jardín de la Isla, en Pflügerstrasse, en Kabukicho, en la sobremesa o debajo de un árbol.

Well, QBOS is Javi Urbaneja. And is Zulima Torné. QBOS are all our family, friends and colleagues. Every person we have found in life has been a bit of QBOS. QBOS is a shop with stairs and many drawings in Aranjuez (Madrid, Spain), but also you can find it wandering through Berlin, Paris, Brussels, London, Rome, New York, Tokyo, or anywhere else in the world. QBOS is a way of being, thinking and acting. QBOS likes pretty things, animals, good food, skateboarding and, of course, loves be decorated. It loves good art, good music, the nature and fresh squeezed orange juice. It knows about philosophy and about the life. It has fun with the good company, laughing, painting, playing, reading and wandering. It has a penchant for polka dots and straight lines. QBOS is a used pencil and a book with underlines. A pair of worn slippers and a very high heels. It is a duck, a square and a chair. QBOS has many fathers, many mothers and countless children. It is fascinated with the smiles and bright eyes; childhood and geometry; aging and wooden horses.

QBOS breathe slowly and deeply thinking about the next change of season/station*, while it feels spring come in the first outbreaks, or while traveling on a train on the way to its next adventure. Because QBOS is a restless wanderer with very thirst for knowledge. QBOS hurts shoulder and back, but nothing can stopping it. It thinks that the days is very short: "Too much to do, too little time" often repeated. QBOS puts passion into everything it does. It is sometimes misunderstood but it does not care, it is happy being as it is. If anyone agrees with it, it is grateful, and if not, too. It prefers life of the past century: stretchers tables with brazier, bicycles, hats and homemade soup. It renews every day, but never loses sight of the past. QBOS is our past, our present and our future, and, of course, all of you are welcome. So we wait you at Jardín de la Isla, in Pflügerstrasse, in Kabukicho, in a conversation after eating or under a tree.
